Day 19 – Struggle Bus

Rough day.
Rough start, rough middle, rough everything.

That damn voice…
The addict voice wasn’t whispering today—it was fucking screaming.
Full volume.
“You can’t do this.”
“One bite won’t matter.”
“You’re tired. You deserve something.”

Deserve?
What I deserve is peace.
What I deserve is freedom.
What that voice wants is chaos.

I rode the Struggle Bus all fuckin day.
Slumped in the back seat.
Sweaty palms.
Every stop was a temptation.
Fridge. Pantry. Excuses. Justifications.
I was one flick of the wheel away from the ditch.

But somehow—
somehow—
I pulled the wheel back.

Not clean.
Not pretty.
But I didn’t eat between.
Didn’t eat flour.
Didn’t eat sugar.
Didn’t give in.

Sometimes a win doesn’t look like victory.
It looks like crawling across the finish line with teeth clenched and fists bloody.

Still…
Still crawling, but not quitting.
Still scared, but staying in the ring.
Still on the bus, but driving it now.
Still abstinent.
Still here.
